A rare and beautifully painted Chinese snuff bottle from the late Qing Dynasty (c.1880–1900).
This elegant bottle is made of fine white porcelain, decorated underglaze in cobalt blue and iron red with a powerful five-clawed dragon flying among clouds above crashing waves — a symbol of imperial strength and authority.
The cylindrical form and precise painting show refined craftsmanship typical of the Guangxu period.
A wonderful piece for collectors of antique Asian art, symbolic of protection and energy in Chinese culture.
