Biography – François Guiguet
François Guiguet (Corbelin, 1860 – 1937) was a French painter and draftsman who dedicated much of his career to intimate scenes of daily life, often focusing on women and children. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon and later in Paris, where he was influenced by the French realists. Guiguet gained recognition for his quiet, sensitive works, marked by simplicity and refined observation. Today, he is regarded as an important representative of French intimist art around 1900.
